GOING GREEN FOR THE HOLIDAYS

A mystery guest speaker will discuss the changes in the natural environment accompanying Houston’s variable winter weather and how to prepare one’s yard and garden to benefit plants and animals there.

Participants will make edible ornaments for birds and wildlife to take home.  A list of gardens and natural environments open for tours during the holidays will be provided.  There will be time for creative reflection on plans for going green during this holiday season.

These programs will be held inside and outside at 731 Rutland, except for field trips that will be noted.

Each program will include information and hands-on learning. There will also be time for discussion and reflection. Resources will be provided for participants to use on their own
